Called to Grow

Over the coming weeks, like other churches in the Rochester Diocese, the four BART churches will be taking some time to review what we are currently doing and what we might want to do to move forward, as we seek to share the Christian message in our villages and to serve our communities more effectively.

We will gradually be working through the Rochester Diocese programme ‘Called to Grow’*, which will help us think afresh about our churches and our communities, so that we can welcome more people, from the youngest to the oldest, to share in the life of the churches and to discover more about Jesus and what it might mean to follow him.

Each of the BART churches will start their Called to Grow challenge with a special Sunday service. These are planned for Ryarsh, Birling and Trottiscliffe in January and for Addition in February. Please see the service plan to discover when your church’s Called to Grow Sunday will be. We are asking people to come to the usual Sunday service and stay a while longer, after the service, for a time to share plans, questions and ideas.

Whether you are a regular worshipper or come occasionally or have not been to church before, please come along and join in our conversations about who we are as churches in our communities, our histories, our challenges, our opportunities, our resources and how the church could better help you and your neighbours.
